Nine months. Frustrating burocracy. Chasing a dream. Dreaming of a calling. Believing this is the right choice. Questioning if I'm just forcing my own desires. Finally...achievement.

Apparentemente, da quando ho messo su dei post sull'India, ci sono state parecchie visite al mio blog da gente in India. Spero che si sentino tutti benvenuti!
Una cosa che devo correggere pero', c'e' un'altra occupazione in India. E' vero, non tutti se ne vanno per lavorare in altri paesi, alcuni restano li' per fare lavori che una volta si facevano in Europa o America.

Apparently, since i posted about India, there have been many hits to my blog from people in India. I hope they all feel welcome!
One thing I do have to correct though, there is another occupation in India. It's true, non everyone leaves to work in other countries, some stay there to do the work that was once done in Europe or America. The latest...deity outsourcing!

Sembra che fanno veramente sul serio, questi pigiama ti faranno sentire sani e salvi. E si, pigiama che "replicano" l'armatura di Dio ti proteggeranno. Oltre a quello pero', bisogna ammettere che fanno moda! Tutti i tuoi amici ne vorranno un paio!!!

Apparently they're serious, these PJs will keep you safe and sound. Yes, PJs that "resemble" the armour of God will protect you. Beyond that, one must admit that they are quite stylish! All your friends will want a pair!!!

La Storia
Carnevale e' un prodotto del Medioevo. Il temine in se implica il concetto che i desideri della carne possono essere esauditi. E' un periodo di sfogo in preparazione per la quaresima. Per quaranta giorni, secondo il catechismo cattolico, cristiani devono privarsi alimentarmente, sessualmente, etc. Quindi, e' nato il carnevale, un tempo di "liberta'" e "pazzia."

The History
Carneval - or the more commonly used term Mardi Gras - is a fruit of medieval times. The term itself implies the concept that the desires of the flesh can be granted. It is a period to vent in preparation for lent. For forty days, according to catholic catechism, Christians must deprive themselves of food, sex, etc. Therefore, carneval was born, a time of "freedom" and "wildness."

Fa senso imporre un periodo di privazione che da nascita a un periodo che necessita penitenza? Perche' non vivere ogni giorno in onore?

Does it make sense to impose a period of deprival that spawns a period necessitating repentance? Why not live every day in honor?
